Match Fishing - Seniors

The match calenders for 2022 can be opened using the link in the side bar.

All members are welcome to fish the matches. The matches are not taken too seriously and take place in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of banter and fun!!
The first match of the season is the Work Party Trophy. Although the match is open to all members, only those who have attended a work party can actually win the trophy and acquire points for the league. Work party dates will be announced in the near future in the News section.

Please note that on the 12th June a challenge match has been arranged against Rochdale Catholic Club at Lane Head, 9am until 2pm. This match has been kindly sponsored by Rochdale Angling and takes the format of a team match for a trophy and also a mixed pairs match with £100 going to the winning pairing!
Again we have
five away matches planned in 2022 at some fantastic venues, all within an hours drive away. To book on a match please contact the Senior Match Secretary. Book on early to avoid disappointment!

First we have the G.A. Electrical Trophy on
Lake 3 at Bradshaws in May, which we are familiar with from the last few years.

Next we have the Stanley Pell Cup in June at the
Moss Farm Fishery in Irlam which we have fished many times before on the usual match lake, Madison's.

We are then back at
Bradshaws in July for the Calvin Clarkson Trophy but this time on Lake 4 which again we have fished before. We return again in August to fish Lake 3 at Bradshaws for the Canal Cup.

We return again in November to fish Bradshaws Lake 4 for one of our winter league matches.

Again, please book on this with the Match Secretary to secure your place.

More information on these venues can be found
using the links in the side bar.

Once again we will endeavour to arrange a ’home and away’ challenge match against Rochdale Walton Angling Society for 2022. The top 8 anglers on points in the Championship just prior to the match will qualify to fish.
Our new Senior Champion for 2021 is Tim Clegg.
